ESAEDRO Design Competition

It was 1989 when ILPO decided to organize that what was to become the first edition of the International ESAEDRO Prize. Today the ESAEDRO Competition has come to its fourth edition; during the years the prize has been addressed to students of either Universities, educational institutes or design schools in Italy and Europe, which could take part singularly or in groups. Those schools that through the years have participated to these initiatives were thus involved in interesting information seminars where samples of the products to be utilized for the projects were handed out and their technical properties and performances illustrated. Among the themes of the call of the competition: furniture and furnishing complements, for indoors or outdoors, domestic use objects, urban furnishing.

From our point of view initiatives such as the ESAEDRO Design Competition are extremely valuable also to draw close academy and industry and to conjugate creativity and concreteness.
