Last October ILPO received from the Public Dutch Body SH&M - Center of expertise for vocational education in trade and industry for the furniture industry, the declaration of accreditation certifying the compliance according to international norms to host students in stage from Dutch schools. Since years ILPO thanks to a long standing collaboration with famous Italian design schools has been hosting young designers in training and last year thanks to the accreditation received it started a similar activity also with schools in The Netherlands.

At the end of last year ILPO officially launched its new line of products for early childhood ILPOKIDS. The new collection, presented during an important International Exhibit, encompasses furnishing elements and accessories manufactured with flexible polyurethane foam with different grades of hardness according to the type of object and its final use characterized by an external elastomeric colorful coating fully water-based obtained thanks to the ILPOKOTING technology.
The coating offers a unique texture very pleasant to the touch, with a “rubbery” feel that makes it particularly suitable for applications in this application area. Unconventional shapes and dimensions, special attributes in terms of foam hardness, touch feeling and grip, a very wide range of colors and shades and a adaptability to a temporary outside use are the primary characteristics of this innovative collection.

In winter 2010 ILPO has organized in partnership with some Italian Design schools a theoretical and practical Workshop aimed at identifying and selecting concepts and/or projects based on the use of the innovative ILPOKOTING technology.

Basikline presents its collection in a very unique photo-set set up in the Art Museum of Cà La Ghironda that contains modern and contemporary artworks both paintings and sculptures in the hinterland area of Bologna. Suggestive settings are created both in the rooms inside as well as in the outside areas, and in the huge park putting side by side items of the new collection and pieces of art and sculptures of great scenic impact.
